WHS drama is in a “Grimm” mood as it enters the final week of rehearsals for the spring play. The class will perform “Channeling Grimm” Saturday night in the WHS Auditorium.
Drama students prepare for fall play
WHS drama is less than a week away from hitting the stage. On Saturday, the drama class will perform scenes from “Nothing Serious” by Rich Orloff.
WHS to stage ‘killer’ play
The WHS drama class will perform its spring play May 7. The murder mystery-comedy “The Alibis" follows Detective Casey Neptune and her butler Warwick as they try to figure out who murdered billionaire J. Leslie Arlington.

Wabaunsee’s annual Fall play is only a couple of weeks away. Just like in years past, the drama class will put on a lovely performance for the community, however this year there will be some guest appearances as well. The newspaper class and several students from outside of the drama class will also make up the cast this year, yours truly included.

Drama to perform ‘Crazy’ spring play
The drama class will be presenting its spring play, “Crazytown,” Saturday, May 8, at 2 p.m. This play is structured as a local news channel in a wacky small town. It’s a lighthearted comedy with four parts. These include an interrogation, a political debate, a sports scene and an infomercial.
Drama prepares for fall play, ‘Crumpled Classics’
The WHS drama class is producing Crumpled Classics for the fall play on December 14.
The comedy by Craig Sodaro is filled with modernized versions of classic plays including Romeo and Juliet, Frankenstein, Sherlock Holmes, The Legend of Arthur and Phantom of the Opera.
Senior Brendan Duggar said, “I think the audience will enjoy it because since they already know the idea of the classics and the play is just a “modernized” version of the classics with added humor.”
