Paxton Meyer

What is your go to sonic order?

\What activity has meant the most to you at WHS and why?

“Softball because I get to hang out with my friends and play the sport I love.”

What is your favorite high school memory?

“When our burb broke down on the way to Nashville and we were stuck in an O’Fallon, Illinois subway for like 4 hours. At least we missed all the meetings.”

What are your plans after high school?

“To go to Allen Community College and continue my softball career.”

Any advice for underclassmen?

“Don’t forget to do your college English midterm (it’s worth a lot of points).”

What is your love language? Explain.

“When someone buys me mini brands.”

“Ryan Reynolds.”

Bryton Reves

What is your go to Sonic order?

“Large Oreo Cheesecake master shake and some mozzarella sticks.”

“Enchantment table, just because.”

What activity has meant the most to you at WHS and why?

“Getting 2nd in state basketball sophomore year. Being a part of a team that places in state in our school doesn’t happen very often and I am just glad I got to be a part of the bench mafia in our state run.”

What is your favorite high school memory?

“Going 9-2 in football.”

What is on your bucket list to do before you graduate?

“Go camping at Wabaunsee lake with the boys again.”

What are your plans after high school?

“I plan on playing football for Tabor College in Hillsboro, and majoring in accounting.”

Any advice for underclassmen?

“Don’t park on the wall. Some people take their parking spot seriously, not me but some other people.”

What is your spirit animal?

“Rizzly bear.”

“Fortnite.”

“Jon Heder.”

“FCCLA trips.”

What is your favorite high school memory?

“Last quarter of freshman year a.k.a. covid.” 

What is on your bucket list to do before you graduate?

“Like, not get expelled I guess.” 

What are your plans after high school?

“Going to Johnson County Community College for dental hygiene.”

Any advice for underclassmen?

“Just walk on the right side of the hallway.”

“Eck’s AB 4-square and basketball.”

“Breaking into Zach’s car for 1hr and a half after he locked his keys in them.”

“Pull a Fire alarm.”

What are your plans after high school?

“Go to Washburn for Forensic investigation.”

Any advice for underclassmen?

“Do your work and be quiet in class.”

“Quality time. Spending time with them is always good.”

Hadlee Diepenbrock

What activity has meant the most to you at WHS and why?

“FCCLA because it helps me be more social and talkative.”

What is your favorite high school memory?

“Going to nationals for FCCLA in San Diego even though I was so exhausted on the first day to the point where I cried at a video at the convention, it was really fun the next couple of days going to the beach and shopping.”

What is on your bucket list to do before you graduate?

“Get past regionals in softball.”

What are your plans after high school?

“College but undecided on where and what.”

Any advice for underclassmen?

“Don’t take anything for granted. It might seem like it’s going by really slow at first but trust me, it’ll go by fast.”

“A bear because they sleep a lot and they get mad when they’re awoken.”

“Popcorn chicken with honey mustard and a medium lemonade.”

“Food because I like to eat and it’s the way to my heart.”

“How Dr. Pepper is bad for you but it’s so hard to stay away from because it tastes so good.”

What activity has meant the most to you at WHS and why?

“Football because I was a part of changing the culture from a 1-8 team to a 9-win team.”

What is your favorite high school memory?

“My favorite high school memory was coming back from a 26-6 deficit to beat Smith Center.”

What is on your bucket list to do before you graduate?

“Win State.”

What are your plans after high school?

“Attend Kansas State University and major in finance and accounting.”

Any advice for underclassmen?

“Do your homework and respect your teachers.”

What activity has meant the most to you at WHS?

“Being part of the cross country, track, and wrestling team. There’s never a dull moment with my teammates and coaches.”

What is your favorite high school memory?

“Taking home the robot baby in my human growth & development class.”

What is on your bucket list to do before you graduate?

“Skydiving.”

What are your plans after high school?

“I plan to work as an EMT while considering further education in the medical field.”

Any advice for underclassmen?

“Don’t rush through high school, get involved and enjoy the short 4 years while they last.”

“Living life as a master procrastinator.”

AJ Grutsch

What activity has meant the most to you at WHS?

“Starting a chess club has meant a lot to me, even though the chess tournaments take years.”

What is your favorite high school memory?

“Playing ‘Seven Nation Army’ during the school talent show. Shotgun Sandwich forever.”

What is on your bucket list to do before you graduate?

“Capture the ghost that lives in the auditorium.”

What are your plans after high school?

“Live as a monk in Mount Olympus.”

Any advice for underclassmen?

“Do not run to class. Trust me, nothing is more freshman than running to class.”

“The breakfast toaster sandwich with a cherry limeade or ocean water, depending on my mood.”

“Anything with a pulse.”

“Conspiracy theories. I am still not convinced we don’t live in a simulation.”

The pep rally is 1:30 Friday in the WHS gymnasium. The crowning will be at halftime of the boys game vs. Rock Creek, with the dance following the game.
