Which activities were a highlight of your time in high school and why?

“Cross country because the family aspect of it is amazing and it’s always a great time with the team. Also FFA because of all the trips we go on and Davis is such a cool dude.”

What is your advice for underclassmen?

“To review for your 3-minute quizzes.”

What is your favorite memory from high school?

“When we were doing Indian file during cross country and it started pouring so we couldn’t see in front or behind us. We ended up swimming in the 2 feet of water that were in the ditches on our way back.”

In a movie about your life, what actor would play you and what would the title be?

“Jennifer Aniston, the title would be illegally blonde.”

If homecoming was a Miss America contest, what social issue would you focus on and what would your talent be?

“The high amount of homelessness and my talent would be I can make my stomach growl on-demand.”

If you were an actor, what movie or TV series would you like to have starred in?

“Easily The Walking Dead.”

What are your plans after high school?

“Go to K-State and major in kinesiology.”

Brayden Meseke

Which activities were a highlight of your time in high school and why?

“Playing sports, building floats, and being with my friends.”

What is your advice for underclassmen?

“Do your schoolwork and care about your grades early and don’t slack off.”

What is your favorite memory from high school?

“Playing basketball at state.”

What is one lesson you have learned outside of class that you will always remember?

“To be patient and not rush.”

“I would focus on Covid vaccine and how it is your choice to get it or not and pros and cons of both and singing.”

If you were an actor, what movie or TV series would you like to have starred in?

“Last Chance U.”

What are your plans after high school?

“Go study PE teaching and coaching somewhere.”

Madi Havenstein

Which activities were a highlight of your time in high school and why?

“Softball and FCCLA because they are the best club and sport and because they have given me many opportunities throughout high school.”

What is your advice for underclassmen?

“If you get your stuff done on time then it won’t be so hard in the long run.”

What is your favorite memory from high school?

“Being stuck in the subway for two and a half hours on our way to Nashville and having trash thrown at us by some old homeless man.”

What is one lesson you have learned outside of class that you will always remember?

“I know this also applies to school but if you procrastinate the things in your life you are going to miss out on a lot of opportunities.”

In a movie about your life, what actor would play you and what would the title be?

“The title would be anything is possible and I would be played by Reese Witherspoon.”

If homecoming was a Miss America contest, what social issue would you focus on and what would your talent be?

“My talent would be pedal pulling and my social issue would be world hunger.”

“Mamma Mia.”

What are your plans after high school?

“I’m undecided on a college but I want to major as a physician assistant.”

Cade Oliver

Which activities were a highlight of your time in high school and why?

“All of the sports I played throughout high school because that is where I made the most memories.”

What is your advice for underclassmen?

“Don’t take anything for granted because it truly does all fly by.”

What is your favorite memory from high school?

“Making it to state my junior year in basketball.”

“I’d focus on global warming and my talent would be playing the guitar.”

“Any of the Marvel movies”

What are your plans after high school?

“To continue my football career somewhere and major in business.”

Lauren Schutter

Which activities were a highlight of your time in high school and why?

“Definitely winning state in volleyball and track. It’s a cool feeling knowing you’re the best in 2A, also just earning that title and the work that goes into it.”

What is your favorite memory from high school?

“When a bat flew in circles around my college English class.”

What is one lesson you have learned outside of class that you will always remember?

“Funny guys ALWAYS finish 1st.”

“Why we should use reusable toilet paper. Wiping”

 “Going home. Showering. Sleeping.”

Eli McDaniel

Which activities were a highlight of your time in high school and why?

“Basketball Pep-band and XC Apple orchard meets.”

What is your advice for underclassmen?

“Play Funky games! Win funky prizes! Squealing your tires when you leave the parking lot doesn’t make you cool.”

“Junior year basketball pep-band “

What is one lesson you have learned outside of class that you will always remember?

“Don’t take people’s opinions about you to heart. Love yourself.”

“Global warming. And breathing.”

“Walking Dead or voice actor in Attack on Titan”

What are your plans after high school?

“Washburn or Highland — teaching or environmental conservation. (Potentially play on the highland Esports team)”

Kara Hafenstine

Which activities were a highlight of your time in high school and why?

“Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and FCCLA. Each year our team in every sport has been successful, and I’ve traveled to really fun places and met lots of people through FCCLA.”

What is your advice for underclassmen?

“Don’t be scared of upperclassmen. We aren’t that mean, it’s just a stereotype.”

What is your favorite memory from high school?

“Getting first place at state volleyball my sophomore year.”

What is one lesson you have learned outside of class that you will always remember?

“Don’t go to a wedding during basketball season.”

If homecoming was a Miss America contest, what social issue would you focus on and what would your talent be?

“I would focus on climate change and helping save the earth, and my talent would be doing an impression of the Gingerbread Man from Shrek.”

“Gossip Girl.”

What are your plans after high school?

“To play softball at Ottawa University and major in Kinesiology.”

Justin Carlson

Which activities were a highlight of your time in high school and why?

“Pep band was the most important activity to me because it allowed me to channel all of my internal rages into unsportsmanlike conduct and Scholar’s Bowl is also up there because I am so very intelligent.”

What is your advice for underclassmen?

“Learn from every experience and become the best person you can be.”

What is one lesson you have learned outside of class that you will always remember?

 “Always salt your pasta while boiling it.”

“Homeless puppies, and drinking water.”

What are your plans after high school?“Disregard women, acquire currency.”

The homecoming parade begins Friday at 1:30 p.m. with the pep rally downtown after. The crowning is at 6:30 with football vs. Troy at 7 p.m. The homecoming dance begins after the game until 11 p.m.
